Qandeel is a digital Nikah invitation website named for the lanterns that light up its sky. Instead of a printed card, you get your own link. You send it on WhatsApp and it opens in seconds on any phone.
It opens on a single lantern glowing on a night-blue screen, with your names settling beneath it. Then hundreds of sky lanterns rise over a sandstone chhatri, your names float above its dome, and as your guests scroll, the bride and groom appear together beneath the arch.
Everything inside is yours to set. Bismillah in Arabic and a verse from the Quran, the blessing of Allah (SWT) and the names of your families, your two names in a flowing script, and a save-the-date your guests scratch with a finger to reveal. Every function gets its own arched card with magnolias at its corners - the Nikah, the Walima, the reception, up to six - each with its date, its time, the venue and a See the route button that opens the map. A few words from the two of you, a countdown to the day, RSVP numbers your guests tap to call, and background music while they read.
